Zero Covid-19 deaths reported among Nepalese living abroad

N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- The number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection has dropped to zero in Nepalese living abroad. For the first time in the last six weeks, there has been zero deaths due to infections abroad. According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), 341 Nepalis in 21 countries have died since last year due to the global outbreak of coronavirus.

According to Dr. Sanjeev Sapkota, coordinator of the Health Committee of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, the corona infection rate has also come down significantly this year. This year, more Nepalis living in Sweden, Spain, Kenya, and UAE have seen more corona infections.

According to him, so far, coronavirus has been confirmed in 63,307 Nepalis in 53 countries. Of them, 61,237 have been infected. Three thousand 14 people have died in Nepal due to corona. In Nepal, 275,178 people have been infected with corona and 271,249 have been released from coronavirus. The infection-free rate is 98.6 percent.

According to Dr. Sapkota, coordinator of the committee, the vaccines currently in use around the world are safe. He also called for vaccination as there were no serious problems with the use of vaccines except for a few exceptions.
