Nepal Students Union (NSU), an student organization of the Nepali Congress, has demonstrated and called a chakkajam for an hour since 9:00 am to 10:00 am, today, in front of the campuses under the Tribhuvan University (TU) across the country protesting the deferral of the election of the Free Student Union.

The TU had postponed the FSU election scheduled to be held for June 6 for an indefinite period on May 30 after various student organizations had disputes regarding the students´ enrollment ahead of the election.

The NSU organized a cadres´ meet at Nepal Law Campus, Exhibition Road, on Saturday and announced the protest programs.

The Student Union had urged the TU to forge an environment of holding election within a month, as there was a risk of the end to the existence of FSU when the FSU election that could not be held for long, was postponed.

The election postponed as there is dispute among student unions over admitting fake students to make election in their favor. All the student unions involved in enrolling fake students in campuses where they have hold.
