
KATHMANDU:- A meeting of the Nepali Congress held on Monday to decide the candidate to be contested against the Prime Minister and President Sher Bahadur Deuba has ended without any conclusion. Homework has been started to decide the common candidate for the post of central chairman in the Ram Chandra Poudel group. The leaders are scheduled to discuss the issue again on Tuesday. After the state convention, four aspirants for the presidency had gathered at the residence of senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel in Boharatar.
Senior Leader Poudel, General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala, former General Minister Prakash Man Singh and Central Member Dr. Discussions have been held between Shekhar Koirala on the presidential candidate. Against Deuba, all the leaders are ready to give a common candidate by consensus. Recently, senior leader Poudel and General Secretary Dr. Koirala has indicated that he is ready to give up the agreement.
