Which films are ready to go for shooting?

Due to lockdown and banned in film sectors many producer has lost millions. How long will the filmmakers have to wait for the government?

KATHMANDU: The Corona epidemic is currently sweeping the world. There was a four-month long lockdown in Nepal to prevent the spread of the infection. The lockdown has completely ended since last Tuesday. However, the infection is becoming more and more frightening day by day. When the lockdown opens, people are fearlessly coming out of their homes without fear. After all, how long to stay indoors for fear of disease?

With the opening of the lockdown, various areas have come into operation.From public transport to market sectors all are open now. The film sector, which has been severely affected by Corona, is still banned. There will be no activity in the film sector until further notice from the government. Filmmakers have protested the government’s decision to ban the area by opening other areas.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada said that the government is discussing the issue of opening film production and screening to make the film sector run smoothly. Filmmakers are waiting to see when the government will make this decision. With the opening of the film industry, some producers and directors are preparing to make films. Which movies are ready to go on the floor?

Producer Rose Rana has already announced that he will start shooting for the movie ‘Khalnayak 2’ from August/September. He has been saying that the government should open the shooting of the film even if it is for unemployed technicians. Actress Rekha Thapa is also preparing to start shooting for a new film from August/September. In the film directed by Sabir Shrestha, she is having a love chemistry with Saugat Malla.

Producer Maunata Shrestha is also in the mood to start shooting for the film ‘Aandhi Tufan 2’ from Bhadau. Similarly, director Surendra Poudel was planning to start shooting for the film ‘Babri Cafe’ from last April. However, the country has been paralyzed since April. After the opening of the film sector, he will also start shooting the film. The movie stars Aditi Budhathoki and Nitesh Jung Kunwar.


Producer and director Vikas Raj Acharya is also in the process of producing ‘Nai Nabhannu La 6’ after the government gave permission for filming. Deepak Raj Giri’s team, which has been in the driver’s seat for some years, is also ready to shoot ‘Chakka Panja 4’. Films like ‘I Am Twenty One’, ‘Allare 2’ and ‘K Ghar K Dera’ are also being prepared for filming.

Some films were being shot before the lockdown. The film team will also start filming the rest as soon as the government gives permission for filming. Filming was halted due to the lockdown of ‘A Mero Hazur 4’, ‘Pardeshi’ and ‘Dui Numberi’. As a result, the producer has lost millions. How long will the filmmakers have to wait for the government?
