Westerly wind causes storm in Nepal’s capital city Kathmandu


KATHMANDU: Nepal’s capital city Kathmandu Valley witnessed storm, causing panic among the people this evening. The rainstorm caused severe inconvenience to the people for some while.

Meteorological Forecasting Division authority Ganga Nagarkoti, informed that the storm with thundershower was the pre-monsoon and caused by local and westerly winds.

It is normal in pre-monsoon, Nagarkoti added.

No untoward incident is reported in the storm till now.

Meanwhile, the meteorologist has urged all to remain alert as the storm was predicted in the central part and snowstorm in the mountainous region of the country.
