CHITWAN: The office of ward number 3 of Kalika municipality in Chitwan district has been put on flame. An unidentified group carried out arson at the ward office at around 3.00 this morning, informed the District Police Office, Chitwan.
The fire gutted important possessions of the ward office, including documents, table, chair, computer and printer.
Tikaram Rijal, ward-3 chair, told RSS that the arson was carried out by breaking the office window and spreading petrol.
The fire was taken under control with the help of police and locals at 3.30 am. Police said who was behind the arson is yet to be ascertained and investigation is underway.
