KATHMANDU:- The handkerchief is dirty and there is no one to wash it
There is no one to cry when I die in a foreign land
Even if I die, I will die in Nepal
The village where I was born shines through my eyes
This is the story of a young man who has gone abroad in the hope of earning money. After not finding employment in Nepal, a young man goes abroad by taking a loan from Rich Landlord. The music video of “Birano Desh” written by journalist Amar Raj Naharki has been made public.
I am living abroad and I am confused
The light of the heart is extinguished
Who has and wants to come abroad
have been crying for money to earn
Journalist Naharki informed that the song was composed depicting the foreign employment and the condition of the youth which has become an obligation of the Nepali society. “Foreign employment, which has become a compulsion of Nepali society, has brought in remittances, but at the same time, it has given us deep wounds that will never be erased,” said Naharki, president of Nepal Press Union Tanahun and correspondent of Gorkhapatra Dainik.
Singer Nawaraj Thapa has lent his voice in the song directed by journalist Samundra Poudel. In the video, Sudip Poudel and Pooja KC have performed the act.
