KATHMANDU: Vice President Paramanada Jha has embarked six day long visit to China on Tuesday to participate in the First China-South Asia Exposition. He is accompanied by his spouse Nabina Jha along with other delegates.
Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi saw off Vice President Jha at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Information and Communications Madhav Prasad Poudel was also present on the occasion.
Senior officials led by Secretary of Commerce Lal Mani Joshi and more than 80 exhibitors from Nepal are also participating in the event.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jha will address the inaugural ceremony of the exposition on June 6 in the Chinese city and leave for Beijing the same evening. On March 7, he will meet his counterpart, Li Yuanchao.
The First China South Asia Exposition is jointly being organized by the local government of Yunnan province and the Ministry of Commerce of China. The exposition will be attended by high dignitaries from the countries from South Asia, South East Asia and Africa. The Vice President will return to Kathmandu on 9th June.
