Vice-chairperson of NRNA UK announces candidacy for top post of the organization


LONDON: Vice-chairperson of Non Residential Nepali Association (NRNA) United Kingdom Mahendra Kandel has announced his candidacy for the top post of the Association along with 8-point manifesto.

Stating that he has served the organization at the capacity of vice-chairperson, he claimed that he should get the top post of the organization. He has coordinated various programs at the capacity of vice-chairperson of the organization during the tenure of Kul Acharya and Surya Gurung.

He has expressed commitment that he will implement all the issues mentioned in his manifesto from the very beginning of his tenure and appealed all to assist for making him victorious. He also added that many persons including immediate past chairperson and current chairperson have pledged their support to his candidacy.

He has pledged to work for the benefit of former British Gurkha armies and also run health camps for elderly people of Nepali origin and raise awareness about health issues. Other points of his declaration include running various programs for the protection of Nepali language and culture; provide membership to all Nepali residing in the UK; lobby for providing voting rights to NRNs and provide free legal information of all NRNs staying in the UK among others.
