Veteran Singer Phatteman passes away


KATHMANDU: Vetran singer Phatteman Rajbhandary passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday morning. The veteran singer, who was undergoing treatment at Chabahil-based Om Hospital, died at early Tuesday morning

Rajbhandary, who was diagnosed with lung cancer, third stage, had been admitted in the hospital earlier in September 1 and was undergoing treatment at the CCU (Coronary Care Unit) of the hospital.

Late Rajbhandary has composed more than 400 popular songs including Marna Bary Garo Hunna (It is not hard to die), Yesto Pani Hudo Raicha (Such situation takes place) among others. His body will be kept at Pashupati Area till 10 a.m. Tuesday morning for paying last tribute.
