KATHMANDU:- The World Health Organization (WHO) says vaccines against the current corona virus are also effective against the new variant Omicron. The variant, first seen in South Africa, was tested in the Pfizer vaccine. According to the international media, the laboratory test was positive. On the same basis, the WHO will also work against the vaccines currently in use against Omicron.
Although the vaccine is infected with the Omicron variant, it does not prevent serious illness. Mike Ryan has explained. Researchers have suggested that more research is needed to find out how the vaccine works against the new variant. Omicron has not been found to be more powerful than other variants in terms of vaccine evasion.
