KATHMANDU:- Chairperson of the Janata Samajbadi Party Upendra Yadav has stressed that the change loving forces must be united to protect the achievements made through various struggles- federalism, inclusion, secularism and republic.
Chairperson Yadav said it while addressing the inaugural session of the eight national general convention of the CPN (Maoist Centre) in the federal capital on Sunday. He viewed that constitution should be amended to address the issues of oppressed and ethnic communities.
According to him, the issues of Dalit, Madhesi, women, and oppressed are left unattended now. So, unless their issues are addressed, a just and equitable society and economic prosperity are impossible, he argued. He reminded that the mistakes done by the past prime minister must not be made again. Personal ego should be ditched for country’s development, Chairperson Yadav appealed.
Similarly, leader of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Nepal Anil Kumar Jha complained that the constitution did not address the agenda set by the Madhes movement. He urged the top leaders in the country to address effectively the agenda of federalism and inclusion.
