N24 correspondent,KATHMANDU: Minister of Health and Population Saroj Kumar Yadav has instilled a sense of deja vu in a country where politicians in power have time and again created scenes under the heavy influence of liqor while literally throwing their weight around.
He made a mockery of decorum at Bir Hospital where he had avowedly drove to meet his sick mother-in-law (not a joke, mind you) but ended up confronting a lady doctor on duty before everything went on overdrive.
There he was issuing orders, verbal of course, to summon the director of the hospital as well as the vice chancellor of the TUTH within ten minutes. He reportedly wanted to teach the lady doctor in question a lesson for apparently not going out of the way to guide the minister to his mother-in-law somewhere in the hospital.
The doctor in question is Binita Joshi who received threats to be kicked and sacked. The minister in question had manhandled the guard as well a press photographer who happened to be on the scene while minister was doing what he did best.
