In a telephonic conversation with UML party cadres and civil society members from Sarlahi district on the second day of the process to collect opinions over the peace and constitution, Khanal said, UML has always been serious regarding the issues related to Madhes.
UML President Khanal talked over the telephone with President of UML Sarlahi District Committee Manoj Kumar Devkota, representatives of civil society, Dr. Siyaram Kushbaha and Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, and journalist, Chundamani Wagle, today.
He said the people from Terai region have important contribution to build up party organization, adding UML has been sensitive on nationalism, livelihood, and the issues regarding the Madhesi people as well.
Khanal’s personal assistant, Rambabu Adhikari, said the UML Sarlahi President, Devkota, complained to the party President Khanal that the peace and security condition has deteriorated and the developmental works were disrupted of late. RSS
