UML secretary says PM has not grounds to retain power


KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Secretary Bishnu Poudel has said that Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has no right to continue as the head of government any longer.

Speaking at a programme organized by the CPN (UML) on the occasion of Pushpalal Memorial Day here on Sunday, UML leader Paudel said for Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai to continue as the government head has no significance at all as President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav too has already written to Dr. Bhattarai asking him to resolve the political crisis.

He also claimed that the President has urged the Prime Minister to pave the way for a national consensus government and thereby resolve the current political crisis.

On a different note, UML Secretary Paudel said the Unified CPN (Maoist) was responsible for the present political crisis and dissolution of the Constituent Assembly without promulgating the constitution. RSS
