KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Members of Parliament have begun submitting clarification that the party has sought from them. Some of the MPs including UML senior leader Jhalanath Khanal submitted their clarification today, said UML central office secretary Iswari Rijal.
Today was the final day for submission of clarification. However, only few of the 27 federal MPs and five Karnali provincial assembly members have met the deadline, Rijal said. Leaders Bhim Rawal, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Surendra Pandey, Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Karnali PA members Amar Bahadur Thapa, Nanda Singh Budha, Kurma Raj Shahi and Devi Oli submitted their respective clarifications.
The central general convention organising committee meeting on April 19 had sought clarification from them on the charge of violating the parliamentary party discipline, and acting against the party. The clarification was sought by party Chair and PP leader KP Sharma Oli.
Meanwhile, the UML central general convention organising committee is meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar tomorrow. The meeting begins at 11:00 am, office secretary Rijal said.
