KATHMANDU: Two workers died while washing pipes of Melamchi Drinking Water Project at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, Balaju, on Friday afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as Suresh Sah, 25, and Shiva Kanta Sah, 20, of Saptari district, said Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General, Bishwo Raj Pokharel.
A police team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, rescued both of them in an unconscious state after getting the information that they were trapped in the pipe.
Both the workers died on the way to TU Teaching Hospital, added the police.
