KALIKOT:- Two people have died and six others have gone missing in the Karnali river after a tipper fell into the river at Lalighat of Naraharinath rural municipality-1 in Kalikot district.
The tipper (registration plate number Na 8 Kha 5133) was carrying 39 people when it fell into the river along the Karnali Corridor road, Chief of the District Police Office Kalikot, Shyambabu Oliya said. He said a search is on for finding the six people missing in the river while the nine persons injured in the mishap are being taken to the District Hospital for treatment.
He said 22 passengers are unhurt and the tipper driver is absconding after the accident.
