1 hundred 30 huts in refugee camp gutted by fire


DAMAK:
One hundred huts have been completely destroyed so far in a huge fire that broke out at the Beldangi-based Bhutanese refugee camp in Damak, Jhapa on Tuesday. Likewise, 30 huts were demolished to control the fire.
According to Area Police Office Damak, 4 fire fighters from Bhadrapur and Damak were mobilized for putting out the fire.  Details of loss in the fire are awaited, police said. The incidents of fire have been common at the Beldangi refugee camp. Meanwhile, District Administration Office has distributed the relief to the family whose house were gutted due to the fire. DAO has distributed 2 thousand rupees to each family whose house was gutted by fire and 1 thousand 5 hundred rupees to each family whose house were demolished.
