Two children buried to death in rainfall-triggered mudslide in Dharan


By Birat Anupam, ITAHARI:- Mudslide triggered by incessant rainfalls has buried two children of Dharan-13 Nageshwor Marga. They were buried to death at around 2 pm on Tuesday afternoon after a mudslide enveloped the one-story house. The deceased are 4-year-old Nihan Rai and 8-year-old Nishu Rai.
Soon after receiving the information, Area Police Office of Dharan had deployed a rescue team. The team removed buried bodies at around 3:30 pm, said Dharan Police Office.
According to DSP Narendra Karki, the Spokesperson at District Police Office Sunsari, the other people rescued in the incident were rushed to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. RSS
