Tuskers rampage villages in Parsa


PARSA: A bevy of wild tuskers that entered rural area in Shankermariya VDC of Parsa district from Parsa Wildlife Reserve last night has terrorized locals.

The group of 15 wild elephants had eaten up and destroyed paddy planted in around 30 bighas of land at Sakhuniya village of Shankersaraiya VDC, said locals.
The rampaging elephants had also destroyed the paddy cultivation of Binda Dahit Chaudhary, Roshan Dahit and Tulsi Rawat and also dismantled a rest house of local Sukhamar temple. said Rebati Ghimire, a local teacher.

Locals have vented ire for the sides concerned showing no interest to prevent elephant rampage in village despite several approaching. RSS
