Kathmandu:- The last day of Dashain, i.e. Kojagrat Purnima, it is customary to celebrate Kojagrat Purnima as the day to bid farewell to Dashain and welcome Lakshmi.
The process of Tika and Jamara, which started from Ashwin Shukla Dashami or Vijayadashami, ends on Ashwin Shukla Purnima, i.e. Kojagrat Purnima.
On the occasion of Kojagrat Purnima, after staying awake all night and worshiping Goddess Mahalakshmi of Dhanadhanya, the 15-day long Durga Paksha, the great festival of Nepal, ends in Baradshah. The committee has stated that fasting and bathing on the full moon will start from Wednesday even if it falls on the Kojagrat full moon today.
