Three die in jeep accident


GULMI:- Three persons died and six others got injury in a jeep accident occurred in the district last night. The jeep (Lu 1 Ja 4490) heading to Tamghas from Butwal met with accident at Panchrate of Resunga Municipality-10.

Those losing lives in the accident were Chhetra Bahadur Thapa, 70, and Radhika Thapa, 46, from Jaljale of Musikot Municipality-2, and Sangita Sunar, 19, from Chundari village of Musikot Municipality-3, according to Superintendent of Police, Gopal Chandra Bhattarai. They died in course of treatment at Gulmi Hospital, Tamghas.

Among those injured in the accident, five have been taken to Palpa for further treatment while one is receiving treatment at local health facility.

The jeep being uncontrolled had fallen 500 meters down the road. As the accident site was near the district headquarters, the team of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army rescued the injured ones on time.
