Staying US army in Nepal after MMC approval unlikely: NC Spokesperson

KATHMANDU:- Spokesperson of main opposition Nepali Congress Bishwa Prakash Sharma has opposed a rumor that US army will stay in Nepal if MCC compact agreement was ratified from the Parliament.
Speaking at a programme organized by the NC Jhapa district committee here Sunday, leader Sharma argued that the US army does not enter into any country by seeking permission.
He further added that the people have made their remarks on MCC without proper understanding of the issue. He further urged all to read the compact thoroughly and make their perception on it and argued that the MCC would be beneficial to Nepal.
On another note, he added that the government was failing to control COVID-19 outbreak.
