
KATHMANDU:
The Special Court has slapped a fine of Rs 2.12 million and one year imprisonment on Chinese national Liu Xue Lin for latter’s involvement in a money laundering case.
A division bench of Chairman of Special Court Gauri Bahadur Karki and members Om Prakash Mishra and Kedar Prasad Chalise issued such verdict on Tuesday stating that 2.12million and a Japanese Nissan Wagon Jeep was likely to confiscation.
Registrar at the Special Court Dhir Bahadur Chand said Lin has been convicted of crime of Rs 2.12 million as per the clause (3) of the Money Laundering Prevention Act 2064 B.S as no evidence reveal that the Chinese national borrowed the amount from lender Govinda Bahadur Shahi.
