Sofia Vergara is Forbes’ top-earning TV actress

We guess it pays to play a sassy Columbian on “Modern Family.” Sofia Vergara, who plays Gloria on the hit ABC comedy, is the highest paid TV actress this year, according to Forbes magazine.

In its annual list, Forbes placed Vergara as No. 1 on its “Top Earning TV Actress” tally. And it’s not hard to see why. The Columbian bombshell earned a whopping $30 million between the time period of June 2012 and June 2013, making her — by a longshot — the highest paid actress on television.
Still, though Vergara made the most money out of all TV actresses this year, does that make her the most talented? Kaley Cuoco holds her own among a sea of geeks on “The Big Bang Theory.” Mariska Hargitay makes her character beyond believable in “Law and Order: SVU.” And how about those Kardashians, right?! (We kid about the last one.)
