Six arrested on charge of slaughtering cow

SINDHUPALCHOWK:- The Sankhuwasabha police has arrested six persons on charge of slaughtering a cow, national animal of Nepal. The accused—Sudip Limbu, Nikhil Limbu, Milan Gurung, Prem Bahadur Shrestha, Man Bahadur Limbu and Sudip Darji, all from Madi Municipality-9 in the district—were arrested red-handed while butchering a cow, said Inspector Shubhesh Adhikari.
Slaughtering cow involves up to three years in prison, according to the country’s laws. A case has been filed against the accused, said the police.
