Shrestha’s documentary ‘Festivals’ coming to Discovery Channel on Wednesday


N24 Correspondent, LOSANGELES:- The world-famous Discovery Channel is going to premiere the documentary of Jaswant Dev Shrestha, which has been made in five parts covering five different festivals of Nepal. Discovery Asia Channel has announced that it will broadcast five episodes of the documentary festivals produced and directed by Shrestha. Nominated for the Best Emmy Award and winning various awards, the American is an artist of Nepali origin.

The documentary, produced under the banner of Creative Heights Entertainment in Los Angeles, USA, will be broadcast in 17 Asian countries. The products made under the banner of this company have won various awards and have even been nominated for Emmy Awards.

Through Discovery Asia, the documentary can be viewed in Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Afghanistan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, and the Philippines. The documentary will be aired every Wednesday for five weeks from November 17. The documentary will be broadcast on Wednesday at 8 pm Thai time.

The documentary covers festivals of the cultural significance of Nepal and features Dashain, Tihar, Saraswati Pooja, Gaijatra, and Mahashivaratri. Shrestha informed that it took three years to make this documentary which has a separate festival in each part.
