Shree Pashupatinath Foundation USA, acquiring property to build temple


By Gokul Dhakal, LA/n24: It was just a year ago on the fourth of July that Shree Pashupatinath Foundation USA, LA organized a religious fundraiser conducting Shreemad Bhagwat Mahapuran and successfully collected a whopping sum of one million US dollars.

 

The foundation’s dream to build a Nepali community centre, a temple of Lord Pashupatinath and a Buddhist shrine has come true in this short span of time, as it is in the process of buying a property with religious facility- a church- on sale, at the heart of greater LA in the Norwalk town.

At a program held in the very church, the Foundation informed the Nepalese living in and around the area regarding the purchase of the property which is situated at 10843 Kenney Street, Norwalk, CA 90650. The Foundation’s president Bhakta Thapa stated that total cost of the project would be 1.5 million dollars and around 0.5 million has been already deposited in the bank. The financial statement was presented by the Foundation’s treasurer Punnakhar Rishi Dhakal along with other activity schedule in the days to come.

 

 

The facility has enough parking space, a hall with 300-person capacity, a kitchen, childrens’ playground, ample rooms and is centrally located for easy access for all. The progaram was run by Foundation’s General Secretary Prem Guragain where locals, well wishers and other major stakeholders of the organization were present.
