KATHMANDU: As the invitation of the Indian government to Senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba without inviting Party President Sushil Koirala, the Indian government has once against invited senior leader of CPN (UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal without inviting party Chairperson Jhala Nath Khanal.
Senior leader Nepal is due to leave for Indian Capital New Delhi on Wednesday at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Nepal will be accompanied by UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel and former Foreign Affairs advisor Rajan Bhattarai.
Nepal is scheduled to meet Indian leaders and participate in one of the programs to be organised at the Naland University in Bihar state. It has been learnt that New Delhi is mulling inviting some leaders from the Madhesi Morcha.
Earlier, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba had separately visited India upon the invitation of the Indian government. It is said that India is inviting leaders close to India before the election of the Constituent Assembly.
It is alleged that India has been interfering in the internal affairs of the country. The visit of some leaders of the party to India is also taken as a part of the ploy of the Indian government. It is said that all the leaders should have positive response from Indian establishment to become the Prime Minister.
