Senior leaders sit for talks, agree that foreign influences soaring high

KATHMANDU: Senior leaders of major political forces have agreed to continue discussions on forming national consensus government for resolving ongoing political and constitutional impasse.

A meeting participated by senior leaders from UCPN Maoist, Nepali Congress, CPN UML and Joint Democratic Madheshi Front took the decision to this effect.

During the meet held at NC head office in Balkhu, opposition parties have however maintained that they would continue their agitation while also sitting for talks with the ruling parties.

UCPN Maoist Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal while lauding the efforts in starting the long stalled dialogues between parties, urged all political parties to continue efforts for resolving ongoing political and constitutional impasse.

He expressed his commitment to form national consensus government. NC vice President Ram Chandra Paudel called on all for effective implementation of the five point agreement.

While claiming that the foreign intervention in Nepal’s internal affairs has increased in the days after the dissolution of the CA, all leaders expressed commitment to resolve impasse and counter foreign influences.

The meeting was participated by NC President Sushil Koirala, Ram Chandra Paudel, UML Chairman Jhalnath Khanal, UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, Prachanda, JDMF Gachhadar, MJF-L Mahant Thakur.
