TANAHU:- The Shiva Secondary School in Dumsi of Byas municipality has started teaching its students through technology-friendly smart board. The school has replaced chal duster, white board and marker with the projectors and laptops to teach students through e-books.
Learning through the use of smart board will be sustainable, time saving and effective, says school’s head-teacher Tirtha Raj Bardewa Pariyar. The use of such boards is good for everyone’s health, including that of the teachers who would have their clothes awash in white powder using chalk and duster. Students have become more comfortable and enthusiastic learning from a trained teacher using smart technology.
Meanwhile, the Byas municipality office has contributed Rs. 200,000 for solar panel connection, ensuring that there will be no problem of power outage, said School Management Committee Chair Bikas Rijal. The school currently has 250 students.
The education section of Byas municipality has stated that other schools are also preparing to adopt the technology after the success of the use of smart board in the Shiva Secondary school.
