Saptari accident victims identified


SAPTARI: Identity of three persons, who died in a road accident at Bakdhuwa road section along the East-West Highway in Saptari district this morning, has been ascertained.

The deceased are Rudra Raut, 55, and Saroj Basnet, 12, of Triyuga Municipality and Laxman Basnet, 32, of Gorkha district, according to the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur.

As many as 25 persons were injured in the accident. The accident took place when a bus (Na 2 Kha 1355) heading towards Biratnagar from Gaighat after being out of control.

The injured are undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Center, Kanchanpur, and BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, said police.

Police have taken bus driver Uttam Chaudhary of Triyuga Municipality-3 under control. RSS
