San-Francisco Nepali evening concludes with a pomp

N24 Correspondent, San Francisco:  Nepalese residing in the San Francisco recently celebrated Nepali evening with great fervour in live Nepali folk songs sung by renowned local and national artists.

The event organised by Nepalese Association of Northern California at the Saint Mary’s Cathedral here was entertained by DJ duo Buddha Lo and Gelu Sherpa.

Senior Lyricist Madan Deepbam was the chief guest of the program presided by NANC President Dhan Prasad Davadi. Among others, NANC advisors Govind Shahi, Gopal Khadgi, Bhakta Thapa, Bindo Bhatta, Yaan Rai, Tirtha Dong, Uttam Karki, among others.

Along with them, representatives from various local and Nepalese community organisations were present in the event.  Speaking on the occasion, Davadi called on all participants to strive for collecting funds for the construction of community hall.

He pledged to put his foot forward in materialising the aspiration of the community members to have their own community hall in the near future.

Along with other artists, American citizen Anna Steer remained at the centre stage for beautiful and sweet Nepali folk songs that entertained the mass.  She was felicitated by the organisers for her special interest in conserving Nepalese literature.
