Salyan bus accident: Death toll reaches eight


SALYAN:- The death toll in Salyan bus accident has hit eight. A Tulasipur-bound passenger bus (Na 2 Kha 2552) skidded off the road and fell some 200 meters at Kharkhola of Kapurkot Rural Municipality today morning killing at least eight people and injuring many more. The cause of the accident is yet to be known.
Six of the deceased died on the spot and two at a hospital, said the police. The identity of the deceased including two is children is yet to be known. Some of the injured people receiving treatment at hospitals in the district and Tulasipur in Dang is reported to be in serious condition, said Superintendent of Police Gobinda Thapa.
Approximately 40 passengers were travelling in the ill-fated bus, it has been estimated.
