RPP Nepal demands immediate announcement of CA for resolving national crisis

KATHMANDU: As the leaders of the four major political parties have been holding the country captive by not taking timely decisions, chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-Nepal, Kamal Thapa, has demanded to declare the date for the elections of the constituent assembly at the earliest.

Addressing the mass meeting organized by the Rastriya Prajatantrik Students’ Association close to the RPP-Nepal at Nepal Law Campus in the capital on Sunday, he claimed that election of the constituent assembly is the only way-out to resolve all the problems dogging the country so holding the elections at the earliest would be in the interest of the country and people.

Chairman Thapa said the inaction, short sightedness, conceding activities of the big political parties have led the nation and nationalism into crisis.

“The nationality of the country became weak as the senior leadership of some political parties have made statement public to hold referendum regarding the border issue, not to refute it by the party concerned, and other parties to keep silence on this issue,” Thapa added.

Chairman of the Association, Rajaram Bartaula, claimed that it would give candidacies from 93 campuses of 48 districts in the upcoming Free Students’ Union election.

RPP-Nepal, which is very positive towards formation of the Chief Justice led government for holding the elections of the constituent assembly became very critical towards the government after the government started to work at the tune of four major political parties. RPP-Nepal has been demanding that the four political parties should not interfere in the activities of the government to ensure free and fair elections.
