PARSA: As the leaders of major political parties are busy to convince disgruntled parties to take them on board for holding the elections of the constituent assembly on November 19, Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal, Kamal Thapa , has demanded to dissolve the High-Level Political Committee (HLPC) to create an environment for Constituent Assembly election .
Addressing a news conference organized by the party in Parsa on Monday, Thapa claimed that HLPC was the major obstacle to the CA polls. He further said that the Interim Election Council chairman or the president should give an outlet to current crisis in the country by calling an all-side roundtable conference. He was of the view that HLPC has no democratic rights and legality to summon such meeting.
Meanwhile the party has formed different committees taking into consideration the elections of the constituent assembly. The party has given responsibility of coordinator of the Manifesto Preparation Committee to party Chairman Kamal Thapa, Publicity Committee to Assistant General Secretary Rajaram Shrestha, National Unity Preparation Committee to central member Sushil Shrestha, leader Bhaskar Bhadra to Signature Collection Preparation Committee, Shyam Timilsina to Religious Organisations Mobilization Committee, Khagendra Basnet to Social Organisations Mobilization Committee, Bharat Rayamajhi to Volunteers Mobilization Committee, Dil Bikas Bhandari to Fund Collection Committee and Mohan Shrestha to Media Committee.
Party Spokesperson Rajaram Shrestha said that responsibility of the committees has been given to different leaders with an objective of winning in most seats in upcoming election to the Constituent Assembly by organizing different party activities across the nation.
