Addressing a program in the Capital on Saturday Regmi said that the government has been holding serious talks with the leaders of different political parties to give a final touch to the election related ordinance.
He also said that the government was hurried to announce the polls date after making arrangements of infrastructures needed for creating an election-friendly environment. He also urged all for constructive participation in polls.
Meanwhile, addressing a news conference organized by Revolutionary Journalists Association in Udaypur on Saturday, senior leader of UCPN-Maoist Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls date would be announced within two days.
He added that major four political parties and the government were in talks regarding the polls date announcement. On the occasion, Mahara said that the CA elections would be held at any cost, as dissenting 11 political parties except the CPN-Maoist were preparing to take part in the elections.
Some 33-parties were trying to foil the upcoming CA polls by raising the issue of appointment of Lokman Singh Karki as the chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
