MANILA PHILIPPINES: The Asia Pacific Regional Conference of Non Residential Nepalese (NRN) Association has started in Manila, the Capital of Philippines from Saturday with the objective of utilizing remittance for multiple benefits.
The ongoing Asia Pacific Conference is also discussing the issues of making foreign employment safe. Over one hundred representatives from 12 countries of Asia Pacific have been taking part in the ongoing conference.
The Conference has also decided to establish a idol of lord Buddha, the profounder of peace, at the premises of International Criminal Court in Hague of the Netherlands. As per the information given at the conference NRN will establish the idol within a month in close coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Chairperson of NRNA Jiba Lamichhane the idol will be established during the Europe Regional Conference of NRNA slated after a month. Lamichhane also informed that they started the campaign at a time there is confusion about the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Lamichhane also informed that the gold plated two feet tall idol of Lord Buddha has already been prepared and they are making attempt to establish it in close coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. NRNA will take initiative and bear all the expenses required for the task.
The Asia Pacific Regional Conference has been discussing about registration of NRNA, Identity Card to NRNs provided by the government, amendment of the statute of NRNA, problems faced by NRNs in Asia Pacific region and voting rights of NRNs among others.
Inaugurating the Asia Pacific Regional Conference former Labor Minister of Philippines Nariyanito Rose informed that Non Residential Philipinos also motivated for forming such organization. He also informed that Non Residential Philipinos do not have such umbrella organization. The conference, which started playing national anthems of Nepal and Philippines, will conclude on Sunday issuing Manila declaration.
