
Bharatiya Janata Party’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, Ravi Shankar Prasad, departed for Kathmandu on Friday.
He will be delivering the keynote address on Nepal-India relations at a seminar and will meet the country’s top leadership, including President Ram Baran Yadav, and heads of all major political parties.
He will also interact with the Indian community. Mr. Prasad is expected to express BJP’s support for the democratic process in Nepal, and convey his wishes for timely elections for a second Constituent Assembly slated for November 19.
