Rambha Rural municipality in Nepal to honour ‘Smart Couple’
PALPA:- The Rambha rural municipality is to honor the couples in the rural municipality adopting family planning after giving birth to one or two children.
The ‘smart couple’ giving birth to a maximum of two children would be awarded Rs 5,000. Chairperson of the rural municipality, Bishnu Bhandari, said that they have made arrangements of honoring the smart couple with cash with the objective of encouraging people towards the adoption of family planning as well as to reduce the birth rate.
The rural municipality brought the program into operation in its policy, program, and budget of the current fiscal year 2020/21. Bhandari added that the rural municipality has a program to honor at least five such smart couples, who have undergone permanent family planning after giving birth to one or two children, on the basis of the medical certificate. The rural municipality has allocated Rs 50,000 to implement the program.
Similarly, son and daughter-in-law paying attention in care, nutritious food, and the health of their parents and in-laws would also be honored. The municipality would honor 10 couples of son and daughter-in-law with Rs 5,000 of every ward. Likewise, Rs 1,000 would be provided for nutritious food to mother and baby for the sustainability of child delivery at the health institution program, it is learned.
