Raj Ghale becomes ‘Hero of the Year’


Tara Kunwar / Atlanta: Nepali Entrepreneur and Social Worker Raja Ghale has been honored as Hero of the Year by Nepalese Association of Georgia.

Ghale received the award during an annual assembly of the organization on Saturday. The organization informed that they felicitated Ghale as he actively worked for the benefit of Nepalese community.

Local intellectuals Dr. Ram Chandra Baral and Dr. Prahlad Panta felicitated Ghale amidst a function organized at Himalayan Resturant. Janak Raj Baral informed about Ghale during the program.

Speaking at the program Ghale informed that he remained active in the field of social work since he was in Nepal and has been working selflessly for the Nepali Community. He also expressed his commitment to do so for his whole life.

He appreciated the attempt of the organization to felicitate him as the Hero of the Year. He also expressed his best wishes for the success of the organization in the days to come. Ghale had contributed in the field work from local to international level/ HE has been serving as the General Secretary of Asian Pacific American Council. Earlier he served as the chairperson of Nepalese Association in South East America, co-chairperson of NRN-NCC of US and successfully contributed as the chairperson of the Visit Nepal 2011.
