
By N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- Purna Bahadur Khadka of PM Sher Bahadur Deuba’s panel and Dhanraj Gurung of Presidential contender Shekhar Koirala’s panel have won the Nepali Congress General Convention election for the two posts of Vice Presidents.
Khadka received 1901 votes, while Gurung received 1741 votes. Bijay Kumar Gachhedar of Deuba panel finished third but could not win the election. He received 1725 votes. Chandra Bhandari of Koirala panel stood fourth with 1465 votes.
Sujata Koirala, who ran for Vice President from Prakash Man Singh’s panel, could only receive 438 votes followed by Mahesh Acharya’s 413 votes and Dibyeshwori Shah of Bimalendra Nidhi panel’s 117 votes.
The vote count for the party’s General Secretaries, Joint General Secretaries and Central Committee members were still going on.
