Prohibitory order extended in Kailali, Nepal

The total number of coronavirus infected people in Sudurpaschim State had reached 5591 as of Friday and the highest number was in Kailali district.

SUDURPASCHIM:- The prohibitory order issued by the District Administration Office Kailali to stem the spread of COVID-19 has been extended till September 4.

DAO Kailali, through a notice today, stated that the restriction has been extended as its impact has been found positive. The prohibitory order was issued on August 20. The DAO has also urged all sides to extend cooperation in getting the order fully implemented and thereby assist in the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic. Trade and business other than the most essential goods and services have been prohibited during the restriction period.

The total number of coronavirus infected people in Sudurpaschim State had reached 5591 as of Friday and the highest number was in Kailali district. There were 1,677 infected people in the district, followed by Doti with 911 infected, Achham with 873 infected, Kanchanpur with 673 infected, Bajura with 452 infected, Dadeldhura with 316 infected, Baitadi with 348 infected, Bajhang with 297 infected and Darchula with 44 infected persons. So far 11 infected people have died from COVID-19 in the State. SUDURPASCHIM
