Prez urges bigwigs to expedite peace and statute drafting process


KATHMANDU: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has expressed concerns regarding the conclusion of the peace and constitution writing process with senior leaders of lead political parties.

 

The President urged the leaders for expediting the tasks of concluding peace and constitution writing drafting process during a meeting held at his residence in the capita.

 

Chairman of UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN (UML) Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar from the side of Madhesi Morcha were present at the meeting.

 

On the occasion leaders briefed the President about the latest developments made them in resolving contentious issues seen the constitution writing and army integration.

Exiting the meeting, Koirala stressed on the need to abide by the seven point agreement for concluding both tasks.
