As the deadline of the president to form a national consensus government is expiring today with political parties failing to forge such consensus, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav is mulling over extending the deadline for yet another time.
The failure to hold the serious joint meeting of the parties towards that end has deeply worried the President, sources at the President Office said.
The leaders of the parties are also likely to urge the President Dr Yadav to extend the deadline for the third consecutive time.
“President might prolong the deadline again following the request of the parties,” an aide of the President said adding that he is left without any choice since he can’t step to another provision of the constitution due to the absence of the legislative parliament.
