President’s move ‘unconstitutional’ and ‘illegal’, claims UCPN (Maoist)

KATHMANDU:
UCPN (Maoist) has termed the President’s call to the political parties for forming national consensus government ‘illegal’ and ‘unconstitutional’. President’s call to constitute government of national consensus without holding consultations with the Prime Minister is completely a wrong move, said Maoist spokesperson Agni Sapkota at a press meet held at party office Parisdanda Kathmandu.
He accused the President of taking non-constitutional moves time and again, adding that the call for forming national consensus by the head-of-the- state when efforts were underway at the level of top political leadership could take the country towards a grave accident.
Ruling out the possibility of the formation of consensus government under other party’s leadership, Spokesperson claimed that the national consensus government will be formed under the leadership of the incumbent Prime Minister. “Its a daydreaming if other political parties are thinking to get an opportunity to lead the national consensus government,” he said.
