President’s greetings on 3rd National Women’s Rights Day


KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has offered her best wishes to all Nepali people on the occasion of the 3rd National Women’s Rights Day.
On the occasion, she remembered and thanked all seniors who contributed through various ways to ensure women’s rights. This Day has offered honour and identity to various struggles waged for long to ensure gender equality and women’s rights, she viewed.
Women’s participation in state apparatus and public spheres have remarkably increased due to implementation of constitutional, legal and structural mechanisms unveiled for women’s right, according to the President.
The President is of the view that such a move has made women’s politics, social and economic roles effective. President Bhandari has expressed her confidence for enhanced capacity and access of women from this day.
