President Deuba and leader Poudel agree to hold a nationwide ward convention on September 3


N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- The Nepali Congress is scheduled to hold a nationwide ward convention on September 3.

After discussions between Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, it was agreed to resolve the disputes of the active members, make the list public, break the relay strike by addressing the demands of the district chairman and youth leaders and create an environment for the general convention.After talking to

Chairman Deuba, Poudel had discussions with leaders and district chairpersons close to him today.

Leader Prakash Man Singh informed that an agreement has been reached to hold the convention on the same day in 6,743 wards across the country.

According to him, it has been agreed to hear the demands of the district chairpersons.

The district chairpersons had demanded to amend the election guideline and make the names of the activists public.

The names of the activists of 48 districts have been made public and other districts are preparing to make them public within a day or two.

In 35 districts having only one constituency, it will be possible to become a candidate for the post of district chairman as per the constitution. Regional representatives will also be able to stand as general convention representatives and general committee members.
