He said the committees have also been given the authority to forthwith cancel the exam of the candidates found to be indulging in such malpractices and also barring them in the coming year’s SLC exams.
Similarly, any employee found indulging in irregularities at the exam centres or trying to forcefully enter the exam centre and creating disturbances would be immediately taken under control and fined 100 thousand rupees or imprisoned for six months or both.
Question papers, the answer scripts, the guidelines on conducting the exam, the superintendent’s guidelines booklet, other required stationery materials and even the authorization for expenses have reached all the districts. Trained staff members have been deployed for conducting the exams.
The OCE has fixed 1,836 exam centres across the country, 50 more than the number of exam centres last year. The ‘home centres’ have been done away with from this year.
